What you'll do
Do you want to develop front-ends of web applications with hundreds of thousands of users?
As a front-end developer at iO in Brussels, you will not work for, but with Belgian and international clients such as BOSA, Brussels Capital Region, Doyen, National Lottery, Lidl, City of Mechelen, European Commission, etc.
You don't just develop websites. Together with your team, you will realize smart, long-term solutions that determine the business of our customers.
You will work in a self-managing Scrum team with architects, designers, back-end developer, business analysts and testers. Sometimes together with your direct colleagues, sometimes with developers from the client and sometimes with colleagues from our office in Bulgaria. In addition to working at our cozy Campus in Brussels, working partly from home or partly at the location of our customers is also possible.
Together with them, you will work on a user experience that is as relevant and personal as possible. So no boss telling you what to do, but taking your responsibility and making decisions with your team. And all this in close cooperation with the customer.
As a Front-end Developer, you constantly have your finger on the pulse of the project, from start to go-live. You are the link between design, interaction, and implementation. By nature, you have an eye for detail. For you, it's all about the big picture. Together with your fellow front-enders, you will take your work to an ever-higher level and stand for the quality we deliver.
Of course, you have experience as a Front-end Developer. But we also think it's even more important to know who you are. Do you want to share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues? Willingly! Together, you inspire each other to go the extra mile.
Knowledge is the basis of everything you do at iO. That doesn't just mean that you grow by working in small-scale teams on challenging projects. Or that you can shape your personal growth path completely yourself. There are also all kinds of initiatives that you can participate in or that you can organize yourself, such as training courses, conferences, or workshops. In addition, you can optionally be a member of an Expert Group, in which you select innovations and develop proof-of-concepts with colleagues from different backgrounds.
Your qualities and skills as Senior Frontend Developer
At least 5 years of experience as a Front-end Developer (this is mandatory).
You can work with React, Docker and GraphQL.
Knowledge of NextJS 14, React Server, Angular and/or Vue is a plus.
You are familiar with TypeScript and JavaScript.
You would like to work at/with enterprise organizations.
You have a good command of the Dutch/French and English language.
You are a team player, communicative and with a great sense of responsibility.
You are familiar with accessibility, visual design and UX design.
You are curious about your customer's business and proactively think along with the platform.
You like to challenge yourself and never stop learning.
