What you'll do
Do you have a clear idea what the best web-based solutions, APIs and online onboarding processes should look like? And do you have all the answers when your client asks about the architecture’s data security?
With your knowledge and experience of the financial world, you are responsible for the technical quality and on-time delivery of solutions and
applications. You translate the business case into appropriate technical requirements, architectures, and frameworks. You focus on APIs, system integrations and microservices for web portals and other online services. You also manage one or more development teams and consult regularly with clients. Still hands on, you regularly dive into the code yourself to give the developers in your team inspiration, or to develop a proof-of-concept or build a test.
Lines of communication are short. Your fellow architects and developers are always ready to join you in an architects-scrum to find solutions and help tackle difficult challenges. There’s always a project manager at hand, so that you’re free to focus on technical development.
There’s space to grow at iO. You can design your personal growth path, supported by your personal development budget. You can join one of our Expert Groups, investigating new techniques or developing proof-of-concepts in lunch and learn sessions with colleagues from the other teams, for example in the field of continuous integration, microservices or Docker.
Your qualities and skills as Software Architect Java
- In depth knowledge of Java and Web technology
- Integration tooling (integrating business transactions and data flows)
- Interest in AWS or Azure serverless techniques
- Affinity with AWS Lambda or Azure functions
- API development
- Experience with Java Frameworks, including Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Familiar with tools from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation
- Familiar with DevOps activities, such as CI/CD pipelines
- Security and secure development experience
