Automating for the sake of more business
Ebema makes outdoor spaces more comfortable, safer and beautifies them with visionary ideas and stylish concrete solutions. For people, governments, businesses and organisations. The company has been doing this with heart and soul since 1946.
To keep growing in the coming years, the company wants to enhance its marketing flow. However, Ebema did not have the necessary expertise in marketing automation tools.
As a company, how do you find your way in the vast maze of tools and platforms? And which of them offer the functionalities you really need? In iO the company found the perfect external partner to help them. The key question: "How can we generate more business by automating our marketing processes? That was right up our alley.
Finding the best platforms to personalise Ebema's digital customer contacts. The main goal: stronger customer intimacy.
A focused audit with demos to thoroughly test the selected platforms and automation tools.
About Ebema
Ebema is a manufacturer of innovative precast concrete solutions for homes, gardens, and public spaces. The company was founded in 1946 and has since grown into an industry trailblazer — with more than 250 employees and an annual turnover of almost €60 million.
No one-size-fits-all solution
It soon became clear that the scope of the project was broader than just marketing automation. Marketing, sales, service and content are inseparable. The digital platforms on which the various services and users work must therefore interact perfectly. To make the right choices in this respect, iO proposed a solution-oriented analysis. Not a run-of-the-mill audit, but an in-depth examination in team with the customer, with enough room for out-of-the-box ideas.
Would you – even while reading the case - already like to be working on the next step?
If that’s the case, send a contact request via the button below and our experts will get back to you soon. Who knows, while you are still busy reading?
From audit to interactive workshops
Auditing in a solution-oriented way is a matter of asking the right questions. During workshops, we determined the target audience of each service at Ebema together. We drew up personas, and then had a detailed look at how the company wants to interact with them. We scrutinised the business processes, adjusted them or drew them out completely. This gave us a crystal-clear picture of the company's needs.
Next, we drew up a list of what the new platform should be able to do. In the following phase, we matched these with the features of the platforms available on the market. We tested the platforms that best matched Ebema's needs during demos. This gave us the opportunity to meticulously compare functionalities at different levels as well as pricing. During those test sessions, iO took the lead: from our expertise, we asked the critical questions that needed to be asked so that Ebema had all the information it needed to make the right decisions.
Platforms with potential for growth
What did this yield so far? A final selection of those platforms of which we assume we can achieve the best results with the least effort. The ROI we expect from this transition is not purely financial. Ebema already has a better view of its customers and prospects - ideal for pushing the user experience into the next level. The company also gained a sharper insight into its CRM processes and took a first step towards optimal management of its digital assets. Now tell us: doesn’t that concretise our determination to help Ebema grow?
"An audit during which you get to explore uncharted territory with a new partner can be a bit of a leap in the dark. But the iO consultant's expertise and down-to-earth, proactive approach throughout the process and demos gave us a clear understanding of the different platforms. As a result, we are confident: our final choice will be the right one."

An omnichannel approach, the new standard for B2B sales.Today, B2B customers expect the same standards as B2C customers do in terms of access and service from self-service platforms and digital portals. Already a wanderer at a young age, Huizinga's book opened an unknown world to many readers. An exotic world, which seemed to be getting smaller and smaller, because it was more accessible by car, train, boat, and airplane. Faster, more comfortable and with more and more streamlining — quite literally. Curious, boundless, full of wonder. ‘Get a taste of AI’ #3: How vectors add flavour and value
Every new era requires new fuel, and the AI era is no exception. Simply collecting raw data is not enough to effectively utilise generative AI – you also need to process and interpret the data. In this article in our ‘Get a taste of AI’ series, you will learn how vectors work and gain the tools to apply them in your daily practice. The term “vector” may not be familiar to the general public, but its impact certainly is. Vectors provide more accurate results and recommendations in search engines and recommendation engines, improving the user experience. They add context and relevance, making the difference between a positive and a negative experience. But how does this work exactly? And how can your organisation leverage vectors for AI?Read moreBlog

Building trust in a cookieless era
We all know third-party cookies, a marketer's bread and butter, are leaving the building. The cookieless future was irrevocably set into motion when Google decided to remove them completely by 2024. This presents us with the unique challenge of tracking an audience that does not only demand an excellent experience but is increasingly privacy-conscious, too – quite paradoxical, we know. You’ve probably also heard that first-party data is the way to go. So, how can you turn leads into returning customers and, more importantly, how will you procure their data? We suggest a trust-first marketing approach that focuses on excellent content to establish a relationship with customers and users, making them more inclined to share their data with you.Read moreBlog

Bing: a new search engine gateway to your target audience
Google is the unequivocal search engine market leader (and probably will be for a while). However, when it comes to search queries, there’s a challenger to that monopoly: Bing by Microsoft. In the last few months, Bing made some significant strides, moving from 1 in 20 search queries to almost 1 in 5. That growing influence and Bing’s market share are some aspects you should leverage in your digital strategies. You can ignore 5% of your potential visitors, but ignoring 18% of the queries that lead to your business would probably have a significant impact on your business – and not in a good way.Read moreBlog

Historical data export - Universal Analytics
Deadline for exporting Universal Analytics: 1st of July 2024 After the 1st of July 2024, it will no longer be possible to access data in Universal Analytics. Therefore, it’s essential to take timely action and export the data before that day. By exporting the data before the access is closed, you can gain valuable insights, store the data securely and take any further actions. It is wise not to do this at the last minute, as there may be obstacles, such as errors in extraction or technical challenges. To avoid potential problems, it is advisable to transfer the data in time to environment where it can be stored securely. That way, you can later use the data for further analysis or transformation purposes. By acting now, you can ensure that you don’t lose the valuable data and are well prepared for the future. So don't wait until the last minute - make sure you export the data from Universal Analytics before 1 July to a secure environment, where you can continue to use it.Read moreBlog
Migrating to Sitecore XM Cloud: The step towards a Composable DXP
XM Cloud is the CMS of Sitecore’s new Composable DXP. It is a further development of their original CMS, but packed and serviced completely different. It’s SaaS, less hassle to maintain, quicker and easier to develop on, a lot easier to work with for content editors, but still as powerful and versatile as before. So when starting a new Sitecore implementation, choosing XM Cloud over the original Platform DXP is a no-brainer. But what about migrating your existing implementation to XM Cloud? There is no set upgrade path and your starting position greatly influences the desired route to take, but also the business case behind such a migration. In this article I will share my view on the important differences, challenges, benefits, caveats, possible approaches for a migration roadmap, and everything you would like to know and consider before embarking on this journey.Read moreBlog
