Discover the power of Optimizely's web experiment module
You may already know that iO partners with Optimizely, a Gartner award-winning all-in-one platform for marketing optimisation. But did you also know that you don't have to subscribe to the full platform to take advantage of it? You can also use individual Optimizely products that interest your organisation.

About Optimizely Web Experimentation module
Enhance your conversion rates with the quickest and most precise A/B testing solution worldwide
Optimizely is an excellent tool for many disciplines in marketing optimisation, such as content management systems, content marketing platforms, commerce, web experimentation and feature experimentation. On this page, we zoom in specifically on Optimizely's separately available Web Experimentation module.
The benefits of Optimizely Web Experimentation
This module allows you to run tests on your websites, mobile apps and other digital channels to determine which variations perform best in terms of user engagement. The data-driven insights such tests provide help you make more informed decisions about website design, content creation and features.
Key elements of Web Experimentation include:
A/B testing: Compare two versions of a web page or an app screen. Which one performs better? These tests divide randomly selected users into a control group (regular version) and a variant group (modified version) and then measure their interactions and behaviour.
Multivariable testing: Simultaneously test multiple variations of different elements on a page. This allows you to analyse in more detail how specific changes to individual elements affect performance.
Personalisation: Create personalised experiences for different user groups based on behaviour, demographics, or other criteria. This results in more relevant and attractive content for the user.
Conversion optimisation: Increase the percentage of website visitors taking desired actions, such as purchasing or filling out a form.
Collaboration: Experimentation works best when everyone can use their creativity. Shared workspaces give teams the same tools to create things like hypotheses and variations, while visual (and shareable) calendars help keep track of all ongoing and upcoming activities.
Transforming insights into actions
From assumptions to certainty - building a culture of ongoing enhancement
Thanks to web experimentation, you replace assumptions with facts and make better decisions. It promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
Web experimentation encompasses various testing and optimisation strategies for entire websites or web applications. Consider trying out different layouts, colour schemes or navigation structures on an e-commerce website to identify which design leads to the highest conversion rates.
In contrast, the discipline of feature experimentation, which is related to web experimentation, focuses specifically on testing individual features or functionalities within a website or application. In this case, consider a new payment option, an update to a product recommendation widget or the implementation of a chatbot on an e-commerce platform.
Optimizely's Feature Experimentation is also available separately.
In general, companies still experiment far too little, while the benefits usually outweigh the costs. We believe that structural experimentation should become the norm.

How can we help you with experimentation?
iO is happy to help your organisation set up experiments using Optimizely's web experimentation module. We are also happy to advise you on how to set up your team to experiment efficiently. The module can also be used in an environment with other platforms, such as Umbraco, Sitecore and Drupal. Would you rather work with another tool? We can arrange that too! We would be happy to advise you. Start experimenting now!
We're excited to see how we can help you.
